Walk a mile in my shoes
Before you speak of what you don’t know
My life is not a bed of roses
If that’s what you think
Get out of that state of mind
I have been through hell
And still fighting my way out
So don’t be fooled by the smile you see on my face
I have a long way to go in order to finish the race
This disguise that I put on is the only way
I could feel better
Plus all I really want is to travel far away and hide
But I know the pain will always be there
And it can be very hard to manage
Furthermore; stop thinking I’m a happy person
Because of what you see on the outside
No one knows how much I’m beaten up internally
And I’m fighting very hard to hold on
Now I dare you to walk a mile in my shoes
And then tell me how you truly feel.
