Waters edge
Down by the river,
On this clear starry night,
The lake only disturbed by my tears,
Love is lost,
Shadows of the past in my mind,
As I sit alone,
I think back to the day we met,
Innocent and hopeful,
The future so bright,
Now dark and lost,
Into the waters I go,
Slow is my descent,
Alone in the beginning,
Alone in the end,
To eternal rest I now fade..
