By J Ann Crowder

I long to travel a place fair
’Tis whiter than bright sun
Where benevolence is sweet air
Breathing lenity spun

Where all my yearnings rise golden
Atop rays gleeful born
Warmths of clemency embolden
Tinged by graceful hawthorn

For kindness is spring's rushing                           strength
Charity rings tender
Echoing splendored chords at                               length
Rising notes surrender

And I'll dance resplendence inside
Caves of spirit bemused
Charity in Angels abide
Tenderheartedness fused

Compassion blooming on petals
Ne’er a darkened hue
Ne’er a darkened hue

What a great place to be - a place fair!

Fair is one of those words that have multiple meanings or connotations. Fair at times can mean common-place or middling. It could mean fine and dry like the weather. It can also mean reasonable or tolerable. It could mean just or respectable. Or blond and flaxen-haired. But I think you mean fair to be "favorable", "advantageous" and "benign" . And a place fair becomes a happy, joyous place.

I like.

Charlotte, you are definitely in tune with this poem. Heaven it is! We can also build our own heaven on earth. I believe this can only be accomplished through compassion, charity, and love.

sorry, that's Jenifer. My spell checker gets ahead of me or is it my single digit keyboarding?

I loved this one, a very gentle wish to a "place fair, where blooming petals exude compassion and sweet benevolent air."
I recently came back from a week of hiking in Breckenridge, Colorado, in trails to 12,000 feet elevation. And there was quiet and stillness among the lush surrounding and the rushes of small waterfalls. Ah! "Breathing the benevolence of gentle sweet air!"
Thank you Zjenifer.
