He wore a crooked smile

He wore a crooked smile, I wore a drink in my hand.

I couldn’t see him clearly, but nobody had ever looked better.

I wanted what I knew I would never have,

but with each sip, we understood.

His eyes were captivating, and my heart was on my sleeve.

I wanted him to want me.

He wore a crooked smile, I wore a drink in my hand.

I wondered if he could feel the room spinning as he stood.

I could smell his scent in the distance, I found it hard to breathe.

He brought me to this place I had never been before.

I wanted him to want me.

He wore a crooked smile, I wore a drink in my hand.

They played my favorite song, I moved my body uncontrollably.

I felt separated from my skin, as if two different people.

Losing all sense of direction, I could still see him..

and even if I wouldn’t remember him tomorrow,

I wanted him to want me.
