I pray at night

I pray at night that God gives me patience.
I pray at night for strength because I feel I am becoming weak.
People are disturbingly judgemental, so no word of this I speak.
My days are long and tiresome. My nights are not long enough.
I want to travel. I want to see things.
But with limitations, my “wants” can be tough.
I pray at night for hope and I pray at night for peace.
I pray that this gift He has given me, will always be my release.
It is through words that I can escape.
Escape to a world where all is quiet.
A world where silence knows no sound.
A world where only I exist in.
A world where even when lost, all can be found.
A beautiful world. A simple world. A world as calm as the ocean’s waters..
but I pray at night that there will never be such a world,
for I would not know my son or my daughter.
