Up and down this lonely road I walk
Without a goal without a purpose
Up and down this lonely road I walk
As the people I thought were friends pass me
Up and down this lonely road I walk
Plunging deeper and deeper into despair
Up and down this lonely road I walk
Wishing I could leave my old life behind
Up and down this lonely road I walk
So tempted to walk through those gates
Up and down this lonely road I walk
As the tears build behind my eyes
Up and down this lonely road I walk
The blisters burning, building on my heels
Up and down this lonely road I walk
Unceasingly, memorizing every pebble, every crack
Up and down this lonely road I walk
Waiting for you to come running back, though you legs are broken
Up and down this lonely road I walk
As you crawl at the feet of another girl
