My Heart Beats
My heart beats to where you almost hear it
It races trying to slow down but can’t
the way my life is, it always makes it rush
my heart beats faster like it was
trying to run off on it own away
away from the chaos i call my life
my heart beats at ten thousand miles
a minute but won’t slow down
finally as things calm my life
comes together my heart beats slow
they start to relax to a normal speed
my heart beats letting me know i live
