My heart bleeds from brokenness.
Leaves me feeling so alone in this world
A distant love that I long to be close
my heart aches for her loving touch
but I settle for less than what I deserve
I am tired of the constant struggle,
the ache to feel loved by the one I adore.
I hear the words that braces her lips,
“I love you.” it just doesn’t feel real anymore.
It’s a journey for a kiss goodnight
or simply a warm embrace.
She turns and sleeps as if I am not here.
I am flesh with a heart that beats
I stand here to love her don’t you see.
hearing the words no longer is enough for me,
it is time that she shows that I am her dream
I deserve to be someone’s dream, a hero, a lover.
its not selfish I am just tired of being selfless.
I need a lover, a mate, and a dream come true.
