Christmas 2022
A will to meaning.
Christmas may be merry,
Or then it may be not.
It may be filled with loss and missing,
People who’re not there and wishing,
They were.
Yet still, it’s a time to plant your feet in the frozen ground and though you may be bone cold.
Feel the earth.
It knows spring will come.
And so should you!
There will be warmer days of sun and smiles and laughter.
There will be new memories, joys and happy ever after.
You will stand tall and proud, breathe deep and say, “today universe I lived the best life I could for all of those who could not.”
And the universe will reply,
“I expect no more or less of you.”
