The chase

“ Chasing what didn’t want caught ”

   I sit and ponder,
What brought me here .
Went Chasing a love,
That wasn’t quite there .
For love leaves us blind,
An unable to see .
Yet this love, our love,
Was important to me .
I’ve jumped thru hoops,
To be we’re I stand .
Never once feeling,
That I was your man .
It’s left me saddened,
Lonely and alone .
And the house were we live,
It will never be home .
Each morning in our mirror,
I ask myself why .
No matter how much I love,
To love back you deny .
There’s always an echo,
When I love you is said .
Because your heart is empty,
With All promises dead .
Were What could have been,
Has taken its toll .
My heart you’ve broken,
Along with my soul .
So all my belongings,
Ill pack in a box .
This heart you refused,
I now keep under locks .
Yes love struck me blind,
And now hurts all I see .
Caused by a love,
That never will be .
