Change of weather

Sun stinging my skin

Constant reminder of what has been

Wind blowing my hair

Like his fingers did when he moved hair strands out of my face

Clear blue sky

Brings memories of his innocent eyes

Rain falling on my lips

Sets back to a time when his lips touched mine

Snow storms keeping me from going to my destination

Like his controlling mechanisms

Thunderstorms stirring up

Struggles in our relationship

The silence you hear from a tornado close by

Is like when I was alone after our fallout

Yes I loved him through all kinds of weather

But the earthquakes have shattered my heart

No longer do I care

For the hurricanes have washed away my love for him

Only a black hole exist in my rib cage

Death has delivered me from love that was a lie

Changes of weather have cleared what’s blinded me from seeing the truth

Through death there’s freedom from his false love

In death there’s peace

May the climates continue to change

And my spirit soar with the storms

I am free now

With harm from none
