Kilian Perry Mc Donnell

 Born in Great Falls, MT, moved to Velva, ND where I went to grade and high school. College: St. John's University, Collegeville, MN. Graduate study in Germany: Universities of Tuebingen, Heidelberg, Muenster; Doctoral thesis: John Calvin, the Church and the Eucharist. Member of national and international bi-lateral dialogues: Presbyterian/Catholic; Lutheran/Catholic; Disciples of Christ/Catholic; Classical Pentecostal/;Catholic; For 30 years I was Catholic co-chair of the latter dialogue. Founder and President of the Collegeville Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research (1967). Scholars on leave or poets, novelists, musicians come for a year or shorter stays. Wrote scholarly books and articles (Theological Studies, Theology Today, Lumen Vitae, Liturgical Arts) At the age of 75 I turned to biblical poetry, publishing in Theology Today, America, London Tablet, National Catholic Reporter(some 40 poems).  Published five books of poetry: Adam on the Lam (2000); Swift, Lord You are Not (2003); Yahweh's Other Shoe (2006); God Drops and Loses Things (2009); Wrestling with God (2011). In the spring of 2014 I will  publish my sixth book of biblical poetry, Aggressive Mercy.  I am 92 years old and am still writing and publishing poetry. I no longer write scholarly books or articles.
