I would've missed

If you weren’t here,
I would have missed,
your shining smile,
and your motherly kiss.

You brightened my day, always
but if you weren’t by my side,
I would feel, sideways.

You weren’t even you,
when you acted like that.
I couldn’t tell,
a Zip from a Zap.

Tears were always falling,
and there were no shoulders to cry on,
I missed my real mom,
There was no one to, rely on.

To tell you the truth,
I missed the old you.
The women who, told me I could do,
ANYTHING,
I wanted too.

The women so strong,
she could hit a brick wall.
It was so sad to see her just,
Tumble and Fall.

To the ground she went;
The world stopped turning.
Nothing else made sense.

Everything had to change,
and day by day we had to live.
She was still alive,
but a different her, Deranged inside.

She had her face,
normally with a smile,
but now a blank stare.
It could go on for miles.——>

I wish it did not happen,
but what can I do?
Everything has a reason,
and that is the truth.

She is still her down deep inside,
but she’ll never be the same.
At least I don’t have to see her cry.

They solved their problem,
but we still ran away.
The past following close behind,
like a Ball and a Chain.

Footprints on our souls,
will always be there.
Like the man on the moon,
and my mom’s blank stare.
