Memories of Sun
Day after the longest,
lounging to sounds;
traffic drone,
plucks from strings
swelling in the whispering
breaths of afternoon.
Wispy clouds
riding heat waves,
morphing, through
squinting dazzled eyes.
Flitting birds - their feathery zips rushing over
cutting heady air;
swift,
piercing,
chirpy trills.
Dappled apple shade,
flickers brightness
through shuffling leaves.
White red glow,
of Sun through eyelids,
strobing
blue and grey shadows,
as a dream machine.
Alert mind,
wistful body
still,
energy-zapped.
Sleepy restlessness is Bliss.
