Murky Grey Bliss

Swathed in murky grey,
undulating,
almost weightless,
sounds drowned,
submerged in subtle
fluid sweeps,
swirling,
churning;
eyes sealed,
dazzled,
flickering brightness piercing
the latticework of leaves,
forging vivid visions—
senses muted,
still, overloaded;
overwhelmed,
awake in dreams,
lifeless,
I’d float
‘til, perhaps,  I woke,
unknowing of what’s real.

(2013)

A place, from my dreams, where i go to dream. A small blue-clay lake with a tiny trickling water fall. It is so familiar it's almost real.
