misery
Engraved in my heart
the words you once said to me,
i held onto the nightmares that disintegrated me,
i feared the light while others,
feared the shadows.
for secrets and pain
lurk in their happy hearts.
the fear was pain
while misery held me in its arms
and claimed me as its own.
