who i am

I finally think I’ve figured out who I’m meant to be
I’m coming out of the darkness learning how to become me
For far too long I’ve sat alone, have hidden myself away
Now I’ve stepped from the shadows and in the sunlight I will stay
Bright thing I see ahead of me, a new person I’ve become
My strict rules kicked out the door, with all of them I’m done
My journey on this path, is both scary and exciting
I’m inventing a new life each page I’m in charge of writing
It hasn’t been easy I had good help along the way
Now I can say I’m happy and that’s how I want to stay
