«How does one explain the inexplicable? How does one tell the untellable? How does one express the unutterable?”
— Elie Wiesel, Night (1956)
Here I was
Entering Auschwitz
A jet black raven above me
Through the wind I could feel
I could see
A whirlwind of shadows
Ghosts
Screaming
Convulsed with pain
So many memories
I seemed to be the only one to notice
The chaos around me
Tears streaming down my face
And People around me wondering
Why?
Why I am so moved by
what they called history?
Not knowing that Achlys
Was all this time with me
Showing me in her horrid
Dried up hands
The remains of my family
