sedated

I know I had you
No matter what they say, I know
I can feel the memories, as I play them out
Step by step, word by word
How has the have turned to had
So suddenly as if in the blink of an eye
I know you’re still there, but the days are fuzzy now
You just don’t respond any more, what have they done
People are asking where you have gone
As if they’re pleased with your absence
I have no words for them, just like you have none for me
Perhaps this white place is to sterile for my sanity
I’ve had my fill of pills today, but am starving for you
They took me to an art class to help channel my inner feelings
I drew you
Lips made of waves from a vast pink ocean which I took for granted on my swims
Hair of the finest silk that cascades to your breasts and meets mine
Eyes that mirror my own on the surface but travel much deeper
It was nice to finally see you, but they took you away
I’ve started hiding my treats under my tongue hoping to free yours
Please I know you’re in there, I know I can have you once more
