within me,
you tug at my heart
strings.
begging for support
“believe me”
i’m tangled in the stories
the “lies” i’m telling
why didn’t i scream?
why do i freeze?
little me,
can you see what i see?
i was supposed to protect you
nobody was there to protect me.
