Breath Of Demise

Her skin oozed of energy
That she felt deep within
She couldn’t hold it in anymore
It was overflowing through her pores
And people began to notice.
Notice her smile was flipped upside down
That her radiant glow was quickly dimming
And she wasn’t like she used to be.
She felt worthless.
Her heart was more than a million pieces,
Her actions weren’t her own,
But those of her master.
A ventriloquists puppet
Hanging on by a thread.
Obeying every vowel from his mouth
Every hand he raised got less painful than the last
Every insult rolling off the tongue
But sticking to the brain of the one succumbed.
When will it be enough
She spoke to herself.
Her brain answered with the blink of an eye
“Only time will tell”
She sighed.
Closed her deep brown eyes
And took her last breath.
Her breath of demise.
