CRY OF A FREE ENSLAVED MAN

Cry of a free enslaved man shows the agony of workers under poor working conditions who are mistreatd by their bosses instead think that they are the best and should be credited for that.

I am uselessly helpful
I do and undo the work
I am miserably happy
Trying hard, my sweet stone heartened boss
Her heart to please and make her smile

I sleep hungry in a full stomach
Satisfied with lots of water and air
Early in the morning, to air burgers
I wake up and from an empty cup
An illusion of sugarless milk tea I take

My free legs are tied
My open mouth is shut
As my just boss I watch
Like an owl full of a lion’s rage
My well done poor work she assesses

My hands itch with blisters
From the scorching sun my head aches
A frequent flue from the cold water
My caring boss full of love
Me she watches with burning eyes

She says to me,
“A roof over your head I have put
Little work I give you
Three hours of rest you get
I am so loving and caring

The little donkey whipping I give you
To just remind you of your work
To keep you sober and sane
Out of love it is
To eliminate laziness it does”

I am a free enslaved bird
In my own motherland
A background of poverty and misery
Allow me to silently suffer
Because a living I have to make

I carry my swallowed pride high
I allow myself to be caged
I am sadly glad for a heavy purse
For a man with a lean purse
Worthless to everybody he is

Once my sister is done with school
When my diabetic mother is well
When my purse is heavy with gold
Maybe, only a hopeful maybe
Out of misery and shame I shall be
