The Flame

Everything was certain
and all our plans were made
all the problems had resided
and I was on my way
but by my own mistake
I created a block
one sad day
and all was lost

If I could walk the distance
Id jog it for you
and if I met resistance
I’d build a bomb for two
you be the explosive
and I’ll be the flame
We’ll light up the town
and blow them away

Our lips will touch
through the blistering cold
and this love is so much
that the world will grow old
but this is eternal
everyone will see
I’ll show you what real love is
and what it can be

Miles are just miles
roads made of asphalt
but your eyes are lit with such a smile
even the stars looked dull
and I know you light my sky
like I light your world
and as our bodies slowly die
we make each other whole

and even the sun would fade
at a glimpse of our love
because you burn brighter
than combining the stars above
