Reason For Withdrawing

My life is my own, embracing solitude’s gentle sway,
Yet yearning for the subtle companionship of shadows,
Not the clamor of bustling crowds, their indifferent shuffle,
A dance of elbows and hurried steps, unseen and unfeeling.
I seek no fellowship with those who worship screens,
Their devotion to devices, a silent cacophony,
Disdainful of the phone’s hum or the web’s ceaseless chatter,
For in this digital deluge, our well-being wanes.
Disconnect, they say, unplug from the matrix,
But I find solace in the whisper of leaves, the echo of silence,
Where the heart finds its rhythm, unhurried and unfiltered,
And the soul breathes, unencumbered by notifications.
So let me withdraw, retreat into the quietude,
Where the symphony of existence plays softly,
And the world spins on, unaware of my absence,
As I find refuge in the stillness of my own company.
