Regrets

In the echoes of time’s relentless flow,
What had remained, shall never be the same.
Memories linger, like whispers in the wind’s gentle blow,
Yet they are tainted, by regret’s haunting flame.

The words that tossed, were very harsh,
Like daggers they pierced, leaving wounds deep.
A tempest of emotions, a torrential march,
Leaving behind a heart, shattered and steeped.

Asking forgiveness, yet if there is none,
I will live on, amidst shadows of remorse.
Each step heavy, beneath the weight I shun,
Yet onward I tread, on this desolate course.

Regrets, they cling like ivy to a forsaken wall,
Entwining my soul, in their suffocating embrace.
Each missed opportunity, each stumble and fall,
A mosaic of pain, etched upon my face.

But still, amidst the wreckage of what could have been,
There’s a flicker of hope, a beacon in the night.
For even in darkness, a sliver of light is seen,
Guiding me forward, through the endless plight.

For what had remained may never be restored,
Yet within the ashes, new seeds may grow.
A chance for redemption, a path to be explored,
To mend what’s broken, and let forgiveness flow.

So I’ll carry on, with burdens heavy and vast,
Learning from mistakes, embracing the pain.
For in the journey of life, the die is cast,
And amidst regrets, new beginnings I’ll gain.
