I gather my wings ready to take flight.
Wings of bubbles dancing in wet moonlit grass,
Ruffled feathers of friends gliding over Kanopolis glass,
Chirpings of popcorn munchers roosting on my roof,
Wings which linger, wings for flight.
I gather my wings shivering in the night.
Wings of blazing arrows streaming thru star blankets at Coronado,
Ruffled feathers of oreo cookies in Presser and double fright,
Crackling nest noises of wind rain and hail covering the streets, Wings of wonder Wings of sorrow
I gather my wings for blue field travel.
Written about events at college as a junior in college.
