You Jump, I Jump

This poem is a reference from Titanic

You jump, I jump
That is how it must be
I cannot explain the reasons why
You mean that much to me

All that I know for certain
Is that your sadness makes me cry
That much at least is the honest truth
For me not to care would be a lie

I cannot pretend I do not see
That when you feel alone, I do as well
You are the Holy Ghost of my soul
And when you die, I am in hell

In this dark cruel world
I could not live another day
Without assurance you will stay strong
And that you will be okay

When you sing, I dance
For happiness to find you, is all I want
As when you are down and out from grey clouds
My own spirit, the clouds also taunt

I’m too involved to just ignore
If you let go, I will jump after
I live my life to see your smile
And without it, there can be no laughter

If you cannot survive, neither shall I
That’s how it must be
You jump, I jump, remember?
You mean that much to me
