Caricamento in corso...

Something Else Entirely

(1)

Happiness is a flavor,
of something else entirely.
It is romance,
and the tide,
conflicting walks of nature,
that to the eye,
appear as shrouded figures,
casting a lone silhouette,
on the heavens below.

(2)

An honest inhibition,
caused me to reflect,
on the innocence of wisdom,
as a boyish laugh,
and autumn leaves,
joined the sunset,
to create the season,
of rain.

(3)

Wistful and solemn,
I am the yesterday,
that is forgotten,
by tomorrow.
and I am nostalgia,
to holding hands,
and I am a bridge,
to the stars.

(4)

Eager children play,
in fields of sullied cotton,
and midst the confusion,
I smile and sneak away,
knowing my name,
is worn by one and all.
Romance and tide,
maybe it is sadness,
or maybe–
it is something else entirely...
