Write your name on the next bomb. I dare you.
Wish for a child to hit.
A hummingbird pipsqueak heart stopper.
A punch like a holy fist.
Hold a used shell to your child’s ear,
can she hear the pretty screams?
Over faraway oceans,
life is as your devil dreams.
Rejoice for each death of our kind
in your echo chamber mind.
One vacuum implodes into another,
ignorance breeds unkind.
Applaud the extinction of another mother,
like yours and hers before.
Infinite wrongs make true imagined Rights.
And you think your God is worth fighting for?
Don’t waste your prayers tonight.

Religion and those that practise it has never ceased to utterly terrify me. The capacity for it to detach the user from reality and true compassion for fellow humans is tremendously powerful, and widely used.

Thanks for the comments! I wasn't sure if posting this one was a good idea since it could be offensive. But I feel so strongly about it that I had to.

Amazing what people will do in the name of "God" when the power of God is suppose to be tolerant and compassionate or so I thought. Powerful poem.
