a silent prayer
it’s odd. how the body and mind are supposed to be in tune yet mine struggle to even communicate.
my Lord,
i pray for silence,
for stillness,
for guidance.
the constant hum,
my mind is numb,
while my chest constantly
thumps and thumps.
be still!
turn over your will,
and God will fulfil.
oh Lord,
guilt consumes me,
conflict overwhelms me.
i take deep breaths,
hoping that with each sigh,
the tightness gets less intense.
as i sit here in silence,
i beg,
oh my Lord,
i plead,
for your divine guidance.
