One day, I was in hurry.
Past you, I did scurry,
without a smile or hello.
One day, I was in a hurry.
For you, I did not worry,
or show ANY concern,
But, if I had only known
your thoughts when you were all alone
How hard it is to leave your home.
Hell, if I had only known.
‘Cuz last week, I was really worried.
My work had me buried.
Before I knew, I was all alone
Now, I can truly know
How a smile says over a thousand words
How a smile can save a thousand worlds.
So we’ve got to learn how to stop and smell a rose,
smile at folks we don’t know.
Talk a little.
Show concern a little.
‘Cuz one day is just like every other day.
