For no one shall I ever change who am.
My being was not from your hand, so who are you to judge someone of your own Father’s work.
My persona was not of your choice, yet you resent the expression of the only person I was ever to be.
My light is of a different color and shade, and though you feel I envy you, I will never covet the dull.
May my gift of originality ever be curtained by your expectations, my spirit shall submit to perpetual darkness.
For I never have and never will live for you.
My soul doesn’t cry for you, my heart doesn’t falter in your presence and my lips don’t crave your name.
I live for no one but my God.
And for no one shall I ever change who I am.
