Over

It was over
No majestic glow
And in her mind she did not know
Why

She just said the words
They rambled along her lips
She didn’t mean to hurt him
Tears streamed down her cheeks

Everything was out of place
She couldn’t look love in the face
Its not that she didn’t try
But she didn’t want to cry

She felt as if
Her whole world was falling apart
Why couldn’t she have known from the start?
That one day it would be over

He says he still wants to be her friend
But can she live with that
She has to be strong
But there is no way she can move on

He was everything to her
She knows that
She thinks back
Was it so wrong to want him back?
Bur right now she didn’t
Would she ever again

Something was just missing
What it was she couldn’t tell
So she just let it all go
Hoping to figure something out

Maybe not the answer
That could help her understand
But search for a meaning
She had been longing to find

And in good time
Maybe she will find
What she is looking for
But until then
She will sit and wonder
How to even the score

This world is so cold
Not a memory is bold
At least not enough to stand out
The freedom goes to her head
And the loneliness swallows her whole
Pride stands tall
Against a solid wall
She guards so well
How it hurts her
It’s hard to tell
It haunts her like and evil spell
It plagues her still
