Past to Present Confusion
I look into the past
I see a life that was once my own
You never know just what you have
Until after you dive into the unknown
It’s there that you may realize
How much that life had meant
When you have these thoughts of emptiness
No more feelings of being content
I left for something different
Something new for life to show
But now I wonder if I did the right thing
Or if too much I did let go
This roller coaster of a new life
Has been wearing me down so thin
That too many thoughts and dreams lately
Are causing a tornado within
I’m trying to realize despite it all
That this present life has its perks
It’s just a matter of trial and error
Until I figure out what works
I just wish with all my heart
That thoughts like these wouldn’t come at all
That i can keep my mind clear
Before something causes a huge downfall
