Our home
in the vastness
of nothingness
called universe
On this precise moment
we the beings
of our paradise earth
humans and non-humans...
fauna and flora
are the only... the only...
living beings
in the boundless space
called cosmos
Yes celebrate today
the earth
as we go forward
further into spring
into the lush summer
into the radiance splendor
of autumn... that suddenly
brings us optimism and energy
the orange harvest moon
beaming upon us
the earth’s offering
a thanksgiving of plenty
tide us over through the bitter
cold solitudes of winter
Earth
partake of its eternal
natural beauty and
consume
its life sustaining gifts
asking us humans
to live longer
to love more
and protect
in any way possible
its own life as well as it goes
through the harsh seasons
since eternity into eternity
Give back
spruce up the house
rid of the soot that
blackens it
let it breathe
the primal air again
Help work the land
support the tillers of the soil
Help work the ocean
the fishers giving us
the bounty from the sea
Help work the air
harness nature’s energy
to sustain our life
Giving us the chance
to give back respecting
our natural environment
our beholden gift
of everything beautiful
and wonderful
on this Eden earth
a landscape of infinite
abundance of beauty
in time and space
One and singularly one
God’s little hearth
existing since the first beam of light
a paradise universe’s
remarkable little acre
