I know that you were there in my dreams and in my arms Every dream we
I see poems that need to be written scrawled in the shape of your smile and the lines of your face
I spend my nights wishing on every star in the sky that you are alive and well
If nature were so flattered by poems written with itself in mind as people are we would be moving mountains
The road is long and winding like nothing you can imagine Too many off ramps to count but too few in hindsight
Autumn sneaks in preceding dormancy Leaves take on new beauty with nothing left in them but a fa… Individually insignificant
I’ll keep searching for the meaning of life and I hope I find it as crumpled paper nearish a trash can
I awoke in the dark next to you and more alone than ever I was amazed to hear your heart beating from
I’ve kept my eyes closed most of these past eighteen years because I find it just as dark
Everyone sees god in a different light but I was born without eyes
You asked what I knew about you and I thought up a list of twenty things
I hope this is postmarked before my death certificate is dat… but you’ll know why if it is or if it isn’t If you get this in time
I see no joyous rebirth in spring for autumn will bring another death I see no joyous rebirth
To put it simply each beat of your heart is a gift that I receive with the anticipation of a child at christmas
I would write a sweet poem and title it with your name if I loved you at all
