Care

9/29/2017

She cared. She always cared. All she seemed to do was care. For others, for others pets, for her pets. She cared so much about so many. She cared, even passionately, about so many things.

Sometimes she even cared a little for herself. There wasn’t much she didn’t care for and it took a lot to get her to stop. To stop caring. What a great task to be performed by her. It was hard for her to stop wondering how someone was doing. If they thought about her, but that didn’t matter. How was their day? I hope they sleep well. She was always wondering. Wondering. Wondering about someone she had taken interest in. He seemed to wonder about her too.

When he told her he didn’t care how either of them thought he did, she still cared. When he pushed her away, her caring started to wane but she still cared a lot. But she was breaking. She wanted so badly not to care anymore. She kept trying to stop but couldn’t. How do you stop caring for someone you love? Even when they don’t care for you?

But she was breaking. She was starting to not care. The more he shoved her away the less she cared. She was excited because maybe then the weight of this situation will become lighter. It won’t crush her so utterly when he decides to push her off the edge of the cliff they’re on. She’ll survive. Because she’s learning not to care anymore. Learning not to care. She doesn’t care. She doesn’t. Doesn’t care.
