Silence

9/29/2017

It was amazing how silent everything became when she screamed and out came every concern and difficulty. Every pain she felt melted into the pillow that was tear soaked but she wasn’t letting her doubts slither away, she was forcing them gone. She was losing her voice, hurting her throat but all in order to regain consciousness and find a new voice; she could find her footing. It hurts, it hurts.
Everything will be okay
Everything will be okay
Everything Will be okay
No matter how many times she tries to say it, tries to feel it; she knows it’s the grandest lie. She lies down and thinks about how she thought it felt okay once. How did we get here? Why is my existence wrong? She was ashes after the fire now but she was not ready to grow again. She couldn’t stay down either, she needed time.
Nothing is okay nor will it ever be. She knew this again. She needed to grow again but another piece is lost, the chances of being whole or closer to it was slimming. Take a breath. Just take a breath. That’s all you can do until you can’t.

Nothing is okay nor will it ever be

This is the first poem I ever wrote and it came after a few bad heart breaks
