Inspiration: A late night call with a dear friend

I was a poem but you didn’t read between my lines
Scrutinize my words and question there uses
I was a love song but you didn’t hear me
Shed a tear, reciprocate my love
I screamed words at you through a soundproof shield that you held beneath your heart for protection
Then a day loomed in which my faith in you shattered
By then time had swallowed your hopeless, wretched mind and broke you down beyond repair
I still care
So tell me now...
If i am a poem, will you read between my lines? Study every sentence, every expression.
If i am a love song, will you hear me? Put me on repeat, turn me up as loud as i go
Absorb every ounce of love i can give and be free at last.

If you were a poem, you'd be epic, I'm sure...
If you were a love song, you would endure!

Nice poem!!!
