driving time

the whole house
was going to town
blinking
in timed segments
dazzling
the on-lookers
the iridescence’s of it
robbing from the other
the outlined trees
don’t feel a thing
as the eyes molests
it’s branches
in the yard - wood and metal
covered with pulsing electric
dances with the eaves
distracts the driver
while hitting the deer
it now runs free
pulling the sleigh
is it’s delight
as it eats the carrots
left out over night
carefully
not to leave a dropping in sight
is how the story is told
when you are old
it takes longer to get to the store
