stimulation

looking down at the smooth stone
that i just picked from the creek
and as the water evaporates
i ponder the meaning of your words
gently pecking your cheek
i slip the stone into your hand
to your surprise the stone cracks
and as you open your fingers
the wings stretch forth
flashing teasingly in your hand
turning several times
flutters to your nose, before
flying high and dancing in the sky
as it leaves a trail of rainbows
the notes take their place in the colors
lighting while they play
and we leap from one to the other
singing and shouting about
the new art -
emitting from your heart

comment to a comment,
then pondered more
sure am glad for kindred poets
