I'm most comfortable writing my thoughts, not very good at explaining myself verbally. Words tend to come to me like waves. Poetry has always been my way to say exactly what's in my heart and I love it. I write to free myself of anxiety and write to get my thoughts of many things and feelings into the open for others to see. I know my voice matters. I love to share the craziness in my head whether it's writing or drawing. Enjoy !

My name is Lysa. I was born on February 6th, and had light ginger hair, and pale blue eyes. I was always the bright and cheery one as a kid; yet I was very shy and didn't have much friends. But I never really cared, because friends weren't a main priority in my life; even as a kid. I was always drawn to anything that had to do with nature and animals, I don't really understand why, it was just something really fascinating to me. I always made all As, but I don't even know how I managed to get grades like that because all I would ever did in class was daydream. I always liked poetry also. I didn't wright much poetry when I was younger, but I sure did spend loads of time reading it, but now I wright a lot of poetry, and I want to keep on writing it because its what makes me feel whole, complete, and happy with my life.

I am a thirteen year old girl living in a world of mental health drug abuse and money struggles. My mother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder two years ago and since then I have been staying with my grandfather and little sister while she is in a mental health hospital attempting to get on some stable medication that will hopefully even out her ups and downs. My father has been out of the picture since I was three years old. He was an abusive, angry man who would frequently hit and threaten my mother in front of me. Some of my earliest memories involve being taken home in a police car after my father got particularly violent. Me and my mother managed fine for many years with a string of her needless boyfriends left behind us. When she met my sisters father he was the perfect man. Lots of money, tattoos and a passion for dogs. Little did my mother know he had a history of drug about that would come back to haunt him once my sister was born and he once again fell into the grasp of drugs which lead to his unfortunate death after he choked on his own vomit while "flying high" so to speak. I live a fairly normal life now and don't like to get caught up in the past. I now have a loving boyfriend and more friends than I could wish for. Each day I'm grateful that I have my health and purpose. It's more than what some others have.

My name is Rashawn or Raee. I'm 20 and I'm schizophrenic. I have depression and social anxiety. I have no friends. I stick to myself. Very honest and nice. I'm the best person ever if you stay on my good side. I'm not a mean person. People think because I'm schizophrenic that I'm a bad person. That's not true. I have a voice and I feel like it should be heard. Some of you might not agree with my poems but I highly recommend that you read my poem and understand it before you judge. Ive been writing for about three years now. It is my passion. Thanks.

A budding writer who studied psychology and did not even realize immediately that her writing is the one that always saves her day. Currently pursuing something meaningful for her life, she has set up this blog site (and other social networks connected to this) so that people can enjoy reading her poems and other forms of writing. At her current age of 25, she is mothering a fuzzy Himalayan cat named Max who keeps on purring--if not peeing--on her floor every time she writes her poems.
Hello, my name is Jack. I'm currently a college student in my senior year studying Public Accounting. Obviously one of my interests is poetry writing among others. I also like to play sports, basketball in particular but I also play others such as volleyball, football etc... I'm 21 years of age and my hobbies include music, movies, sports, and writing.
