TRUST

Enchanted with life she was born,
Happy-go-lucky was her little form,
She danced and pranced like a new born fawn,
Woke up bright eyed each morn dawn.

She believed in good and niceness always,
Ignored hate and malice too,
Unkind people troubled her much,
Spent sleepless wondering what made them unkind.

Life had trials and tests in store,
Whom she believed as 'friends’ and 'family’ tore her heart,
Wolves they were in disguise, poised to attack,
They broke her when she was the most broken.

Grappling with the present times,
She lay broken, weeping and lost,
Fearful to love, trust and hope,
She is frozen in the cold blight of hate.

She has wrapped herself in the pain and hurt,
She is laying still, no thoughts and words in her mind,
She fears to think, for she may become unkind,
For she does not know why her fate turned?

Tears have soaked her mind, heart and soul too,
She drowns and chokes in her own flood,
She fears her scarlet blood has turned white,
For she cannot trust anyone in her sight.
