BLIGHTED

Blighted is this life of love,
Blighted is this Rose in shame,
Innocent was she once, for she believed all,
Evil eyes cast upon her to fall,
Hate spread a net of doom,
Blighted were her hopes and dreams,
Beautiful she bloomed with time once,
Blighted were her hopeful buds and tender leaves,
Fault she did not know of hers,
She spent sleepless nights wondering why,
Fate and evil souls blighted her life,
Light feared to help her through,
Avoiding her in her hopeless plight,
Lest he may be blighted too,
Dark fog envelop her realm now,
She waits to perish and doom.
