Oh Belladonna what a beautiful lady thou art
Oh Lady Atropine of beautiful green oval leaf
Oh tiny berries of peril, paralysis and of death
Deadly Nightshade grow in unexpected place
Used by actresses of old to dilate their pupils
To make 'em pretty and appear most sublime
A narcotic used to hypnotise and to intoxicate
Luring children to their death by edible mistake
Fatal berry end mortal strife coz of high toxicity
A joy to behold and grow but caution to be took
a plant of death grows free and it’s not unlawful
There is no law to prohibit this poisonous plant
Only common sense and caution is employed
So why’s a useful plant like cannabis banned??
An innocuous herb that’s never caused a death
But’s given analgesic relief to ease our suffering
Oh may Lady Mary grow free one day very soon
Just like Lady Atropine, Oh beautiful Belladonna
Both these plant ladies art bonny but one kills
