The illegal status of herb benefits government
Allows officials a tyranic monopoly of control
An injustice sponsored by state to oppress us
Pot prohibition protects government interests
And is a way to maintain their parasitic power
A way of taxing good people by judicial means
Punishing peaceful pot users with a bogus law
Stemming natural cannabis reasoning an’ logic
Lying to us that cannabis has no medical value
While all the time patenting cannabis molecules
Allowing government approved cannabusiness
An endeavor sneakily benefits government pals
Their hypocrisy, and cronyism are quite obvious
Their greed comes before suffering of sick kids
They’ve contempt for those debilitated by pain
To them it’s just a game of greed, bribe an’ profit
All the time these brazen government scallwags
Are smokin’ cannabis recreationally wi’ impunity
Yet insist epileptics, multiple sclerosis sufferers
Glaucoma and cancer patient must be arrested
Face the ordeal of court, fine and imprisonment
And must justify, explain and prove they’ve need
This is the legal hypocritical state of cannabis!!
