It’s a mad world that supresses a herb for greed
It’s a mad world that outlaws a herb for politricks
Its a mad mad world in which herb is demonised
And declared evil and a grave danger to mankind
A heartless world in which cannabis is prohibited
A cruel society that imprisons growers and users
Whilst corporations allowed to grow with impunity
Governments taxes herb trade and rakes in bribes
All the while telling lies denying cannabis benefits
Dismissing cannabis medicinal value and therapy
It’s a mad world that insists on making huge profit
Before the health and well being of its inhabitants
It’s a mad world that allows extortionate pot prices
Charging an arm and leg for this ubiquitous plant
Leaving folk suffering and denied nature’s remedy
A crazy mad world eagerly rakes in obscene gains
From a God given herb growin’ free and abundantly
