Weed Letters of Truth Shall Set Us Free
This is a true weed story that I now tell
I was inspired by the spirit of cannabis
The year was back in the past in 2003
I just wanted the good green herb free
So I scribbled a letter to the local paper
All about the benifits of a wonder weed
How it could heal debilitating diseases
And was good for arthritis and for pain
I extolled the many virtues of this plant
I wrote about the industrial applications
The good it would do to our environment
How we could easily cultivate our own oil
And run cars on clean green hemp crops
I advised all local farmers to grow hemp
And plant the wonder weeds everywhere
My letter was in the local rag on thursday
On sat morn I had an early wake up call
A gaggle of irate cops battering my door
They had taken offence at my herb letter
This was the cost of daring to speak free
The constabulary coming to take my crop
But I don’t regret my honest letter writing
Nor the 18 hrs locked in a damp dungeon
Not allowed weed suffering from arthritis
Cannabis truthes shall set the Earth free!!
I urge everyone to write a cannabis letter
They can’t lock us all up or stop us growin’
