Nature’s bait and switch

When the sun shines on Friday morning
Especially in the Spring
It reminds us of what good things
The coming day can bring.
 
So offer the people you encounter
A smile and friendly greeting
And hopefully they’ll reciprocate
To complete your cheerful meeting.
 
Nature provided a starting point
Which we may as well take hold
Because it’s not exactly Spring just yet
And the day soon turned dark and cold.
