That dark feeling.
That coldness you just can’t fight.
It’s like getting thrown behind bars,
With no voice.
The confusion,
The delusion.
Your mind runs lost,
Just bring you down.
The struggle for a smile,
Just happens to despise the frown.
But if you believe,
you’ll feel the relief.
It may take years,
It may take tears.
But in the end
You feel the weight release.
You don’t give up.
You don’t let your mind win.
Your mental toughness pushes in.
You stand up to the impossible,
And say “I’ve won”.
